Its direct purpose is:
- Final alignment of the surface;
- elimination of minor defects in the wall or ceiling;
- Strengthening the protective properties of the treated surface: water resistance, cold and heat resistance, resistance to mechanical stress and vibration, respectively;
- providing the essential performance properties into the base layer, by way of example, plasticity, to avoid cracking.
- Improving the standard of the working surface after the previous rougher treatment and preparing it to further completing;
- Giving the face an aesthetic appearance, uniform coloration.
“Knauf-Multifinish paste” ready-made polymer filler 20kg
KNAUF-Multi-finish paste is a readymade filler mix according to polymer dispersion with vitamin limestone filler and additives which regulate the properties of this mix.
It’s used indoors for:
- Puttying the joints involving KNAUF-sheets with a thinned edge (UC) and a straight cut border, together with reinforcing tape;
- Finishing puttying the joints and surface of KNAUF-sheets, inserted with the mix KNAUF-Fugenfuller or KNAUF-Uniflot, in the preparation of the surface to get high quality painting;
Properties
- Does not need blending and aging;
- comes with a flexible consistency;
- fills the joints nicely;
- dries fast;
- can be easily sanded;
- has a fantastic adhesion to the substrate;
- includes a high degree of whiteness after drying.
Material consumption
Consumption of the filler mixture is:
- When sealing the joints of KNAUF-sheets with a thin border of this AC ~ 0.30-0.35 kg/m2
- at full puttying of this surface with 1 Millimeter coating depth ~ 1.7 kg/m2
Procedure of functions
The warmth of the base and the space air must be 10°C.
KNAUF-boards must be securely assembled on the load-bearing frame, be dry, clean and dust-free. Puttying the joints of KNAUF-boards need to be drawn up at the operational temperatures and humidity requirements, after all work related to its changes, which instills linear deformations of gypsum board sheets.
Huge irregularities or damages have to be emptied with KNAUF-Fugenfüller dried and compound.
